There are some who feel the only thing which separates the serious amateur from the Professional Photographer is the cost of their equipment. This is just simply not the case.

To be sure, the right tools for the job are essential. Any Professional Photographer shooting architecture should at a minimum be working with a full frame 35mm digital and have a set of lenses of professional quality, including at least one ultra wide angle, one tilt-shift lens, and mid-range zoom for views... and that's just covering the most basic essentials.

One should also expect a Professional Photographer to be well versed on all major lighting techniques currently available. HDR, strobe, natural light, and multi-exposure layered blending.

Finally, all images should be delivered ready to go, including sized to client request (typically print & mls for residential real estate) and pre-sharpened precisely for both applications.
